DBT Skills Training

Dialectical Behavioral Therapy Skills training is offered once weekly, for one hour. Clients may join at the beginning of any of the four modules and proceed through the entire course as the group rotates continuously.

DBT Skills Group is designed to allow clients to build skills in the following four areas: mindfulness, emotion regulation, interpersonal effectiveness, and distress tolerance.

Groups are designed to understand, implement, and practice the skills. This is a safe space where clients do not need to share the information that has brought them into therapy but instead allows them to gain the skills vital to better living. There may be some sharing, but the groups focus on how these skills are developed and your personal experience with each skill.

Mindfulness Intensives Workshop

This workshop is designed to give the participants a firm grasp of mindfulness from different perspectives.

This workshop incorporates theories from Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction, and yogic philosophy to give the participant a deeper understanding of cultivating mindfulness in everyday life.

These workshops are weekly, one-hour sessions held for eight weeks. These sessions are fully interactive and provide opportunities for questions and answers. Participants may join within the first four weeks of the workshop and proceed through the rotation until completion.

Group Therapy

This is a process group held once weekly for one hour and allows group members to discuss what’s happening in their lives.

This is an opportunity to see things from multiple perspectives, find comfort and support among peers, and get things off your chest.

A licensed professional counselor facilitates all groups, and each week has a theme. Participants are asked to meet with the facilitator individually before admission to a group to determine a group that would be a good fit for each individual.
