Where are you located?
What is the best way to get in touch with you?
You can call or text me at (484) 599-2640. I typically return calls within 24 hours.
Email is also acceptable: angelakellercounseling@gmail.com.
What is a free consultation?
The free consultation is a 15-20 minute appointment where we can discuss my approach and how it could apply to your current struggles.
This is a chance for us to see if we are a good fit for one another.
How do I know if you are the right counselor for me?
What are your office hours?
How long is a typical session?
Typically, a session is 50 minutes.
You can request a longer session, though – I just need notice first.
What is your cancellation policy?
Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours before the scheduled appointment to avoid being charged.
You’re welcome to reschedule within the week if needed. Scheduling is flexible (within reason).
How do I pay?
You can pay securely through either Simple Practice or Ivy Pay.
I am open to other payment methods upon request.
What is a “Superbill”?
A Superbill is a bill from me that you can submit to your insurance for possible reimbursement or application to your deductible.
Are you licensed?
With whom do you work?
How long can I expect to be in therapy?
The therapeutic process varies greatly, and the duration of therapy depends on your personal goals.
We will work together to determine the length of time best for you.
What is your style of counseling?
I am a very warm and affirming counselor.
I also firmly believe you are driving the boat: You lead, and I follow. There are times when things need to be structured, but I am always open to going with the flow based on what life throws at you that week.
Do you prescribe medications?
Am I allowed to ask you personal questions?
I am fairly open, so you can ask me anything.
If I think a question is too personal, we can discuss why that is.
Is it okay if I cry in a session?
What do I need to know to do therapy remotely (online or by phone)?
Openness
Therapy works best when you are absolutely open and honest.
Privacy
Being alone in a comfortable private space is best. If we’re meeting online, the platform is HIPAA compliant (which means your data is safe in an online world!).
Location
You can meet almost anywhere that’s comfortable and private, BUT NOT DRIVING! If you are in your vehicle for a session, it must be off.
Requirements
A reliable Internet connection (Wi-Fi) is best, although data on a cell phone can work. I’ll email you a link the morning of our session, and you’ll be good to go!
Do you offer groups? Should I try one?
Cats or dogs?
What is your favorite way to spend your off time?
What was your favorite age growing up?
What is your ultimate travel goal?
Italy. Venice, to be exact, but I would love to see all of Italy. It just seems so unique.
What types of books, movies, or TV do you like?
What activity is immediately calming to you?
What is your favorite season, and why?
What is your favorite part of a workday?
How do you transition from work to home each day?
I will follow this up with progressive muscle relaxation.
How do you deal with work stress?
I promised myself I wouldn’t recommend coping strategies I haven’t used myself.
I utilize daily gratitude exercises, purposeful appreciation techniques, mindful meditation, intention-setting, and yoga as my go-to practices each day.
In moments of distress, I use square breathing, polyvagal resets, progressive muscle relaxation, and pranayama techniques if I have time and space.
